Also known as wild bee balm and sometimes known as lemon mint. This variety produces pink/purple flowers with highly lemon scented foliage. The flowers are very attractive to bees and butterflies. The flowers are edible and can be used for decorating cakes, or sprinkled over salads. The leaves can be used to flavour game, dark meats or added into tea.
Sow after danger of frost has passed
- Sow seed in fine soil 4mm deep
- Days to Germination: 10–30
- Thin to 15cm when large enough to handle
- Prefers light sunny location
