Kale: Hungry Gap
Approximately 100 Seeds
So named because it filled the period in British cropping when traditionally there was little else fresh to harvest, this late-cropping variety produces robust and reliable leaves with an excellent flavour and suitable for baby leaf. It also has very good frost resistance. 3ft (90cm)
Now well accepted as a so-called “superfood” due to the many health benefits from its very high nutritional value, Kale has enjoyed a surge in popularity as a great way to improve the diet. We offer several varieties, all quite different. Often overlooked is its use as a baby leaf, pick the leaves very young and tender for extra-nutritious salads.
