This variety is the least likely to bolt during summer as it rarely runs to seed. Succulent and hardy and gives a good autumn and winter crop. Pick leaves as required and they'll regrow.

Sow seeds in growing site once all risk of frost has passed

• Sow successively through to early summer to prolong your harvest
• Sow 1cm deep in rows 30cm apart
• Thin seedlings to 8cm apart
