A popular German Heirloom variety. The roots have a green skinned top and golden yellow flesh with a great flavour. Good resistance to club root and winner of a RHS Award of Garden Merit. 

• Sow directly in the growing bed April through to June
• Sow thinly 1.25cm deep in drills 30cm apart in finely tilled soil
• When seedlings are large enough to handle thin to 15cm apart, they do not transplant well
• Keep well-watered and weed free
• Protect from birds
• Very hardy so will withstand frost. You can either harvest as required or lift all together for storage in dry sand
