A herb that is used for peppery flavouring (leaves and young shoots used). The plant will reach a height of appx 30 cm. The plant can also be added to pot pourri. Winter Savory has a more pungent flavour than Summer Savory
Cultivation

Sow the seeds indoors from Feb or outdoors from April - July
Cover the seed lightly and keep moist.
Seed can also be sown outdoors in drills from April - July- thin to 18" apart.
Harvest as plants mature taking the leaves and young shoots
